Residence Secretary Priti Patel has pledged to repair the “essentially damaged” asylum system in the UK to make it “company and beautiful”.
Speaking at the Conservative Glean together convention, she promised to introduce guidelines subsequent year for the “most inviting overhaul” of the system in “a long time”.
And she stated these towards her plans had been “defending the indefensible”.
It comes after it emerged this week that the UK judicious sending asylum seekers to an island in the Atlantic.
Ms Patel stated changes “would rob time” and she would “urge the UK’s operational response” to the topic in the intervening time.
The manager govt of charity Refugee Action, Stephen Hale, stated it used to be a “definite step” for the dwelling secretary to “realise what now we were looking out to record her – the asylum system is no longer beautiful or effective”.
